"So you're telling me," I said, barely hiding my anger after Elwin walked out, not wanting to be a part of this conversation. "That in addition to your family, you also get bullied?". Foster somehow managed to look cute and sheepish- wait wrong thing to focus on. "Well, I kinda didn't tell you the full truth about my family. They also kinda physicallyhurtmeandgetdrunkallthetime." When I finally made out what she said I couldn't restrain my anger anymore. I wanted to yell and scream and cry all at the same time, and then I realized that must've been a fraction of what Sophie was feeling, and somehow she was still calm enough to try and calm ME down by putting her arm on mine. And then, I started crying. Like, sobbing crying. And I apologized so SO many times. I don't know for what but I did. And we sat there for a while sobbing together for what all Foste- no Sophie. Had been through. And then I made a promise. I would never let anyone hurt Sophie Foster in my control ever again. She looked up from my chest shocked, which I was grateful and sad for, grateful because it was hard to think with her there and sad for obvious reasons. But anyways, she looked up and I realized I had said it out loud. "I mean it Sophie," she looked shocked I was calling her by her first name, but I was serious (for once). "I won't let anyone hurt you." "But what if it's out of your control?" The truth is, I didn't know what I would do. But I didn't say that, and we were willing to settle for just staying like that a little longer.... Until Elwin walked in and said "As sweet as this is, I'm gonna need you too shoo so I can check on my patient." Sophie blushed, and I smirked and kissed her on the forehead and even asked if I was walking away. I could basically feel her bl\ush from this far.
