''This is for Colby'' James states catching everyone's attention.
Colby's eyebrows pull together as he reaches over the table and grabs the letter from Jame's hand. James then nodded his head before walking away leaving us all wondering to who this letter had come from and why it was directed towards Colby.
Colby looked at everyone confused before slowly opening the envelope and pulling out a piece of paper. He starts to read to the writing and I watch as his soft blue eyes grew wider and darker. His jaw had tightened and quickly he looked out into the crowd of people.
"Everything ok, Colby?" Jeff asks him, worry painted on his face. "Yeah I'll be right back" he mumbles before quickly standing up and walking past me and out of the booth. Without a word Colby walks off into the crowd of people, still holding the letter.
"What was that about?" Andrea says looking over at me and I could tell she wasn't just confused, she was extremely worried. "I have no clue" I replied back trying to spot him in the crowd, but there were just too many people.
"He didn't look too happy" Brennen states twirling his drink in his hands.
I grew nervous at the thought of what was on that letter that caused such a reaction out of Colby. As I imagined many scenarios of what it could be, my mind could only go to the most badest situations.
How could someone send him a letter here in a club? I doubt it was Francisco, that man had better things to do with his life.
"I'm going to go get a drink" I quickly say standing up from my seat. Everyone looks at me confused as to where I just spoke but to my luck they all just nodded their head in agreement.
I picked my handbag up and slid my way out of the booth and headed straight for the bar. I had to push past people as it seemed that the building was getting more and more crowded but finally I had reached it.
People lingered around, talking to each other, but no one seemed to be sitting down. I took the first seat I saw and collapsed into it huffing. The person at the bar was rushing from person to person so I took my chance to take a breather and take in everything.
I pushed the hair that was on my face away and sighed. Tonight has been one of the most intense and stressful nights I've had in a while.
"You seem like you need a drink" I heard a familiar voice say from beside me.
Great just Great.
I lift my head to be met with Francisco who was getting into the seat beside me. I placed on a fake smile before slowly nodding my head. "Yeah" I reply. I watch as Francisco places his hand in the air and instantly the bartender dropped everything and rushed over in seconds. The bartender looked terrified of Francisco and I could tell he enjoyed that.
"Can we have two shots up, quick" he says, not removing eye contact. The guy gave him a fake smile but you could see the fear in his eyes "it's on the house" he quickly says before disappearing to make our drinks.
"So have you thought about my offer yet?" Francisco says catching me off guard. With what happened to Colby I completely forgot about his offer for me to 'date' him. I felt my heartbeat start to grow faster and suddenly I didn't know what to say.
"I don't know, I haven't really thought about it" I honestly say which makes his forest green eyes grow dark. "Ava, darling I can give you everything, a life you deserve" he says and for once I didn't know what to feel.
''Yeah but I just met you'' I quickly say without even realizing it. This didn't seem to make him happy as all of his facial expressions had seemed to disappear.
