Next month, my cousin and I are both celebrating our birthdays. It's shit because my family seems way more excited about her birthday than mine, even though we're both hitting the same age. She's always seen as the prettier one, and I can't help but feel like I'm just not as special. They're going all out for her birthday - fancy photo shoots, renting a big venue, inviting everyone we know. Meanwhile, my birthday is just around the corner, and there's no buzz or plans in sight. It's literally 2 days after her bday. I didn't even know about her photo shoot today until I stumbled upon the photographer's post on Instagram, thanking my family for choosing him as her "trusted" photographer. It stings knowing that everyone was there for her, and I was left out, alone at home. Life can be really tough sometimes, you know?
