Okay Ladies and Gentlemen, I have a new working title for my story: Love, Crystal. Any feedback on my artwork would be much appreciated as I'm still quite a novice at making book covers.

@AliciaMKaye are u kidding?! You're book covers are amazing! They don't look like the handiwork of a novice

The first story I've read on wattpad was Skinny Dipping. It was 4 years ago HAHA! I just can't forget it, it was really written beautifully. That's why I'm here, telling you, Alicia, that you're such a great writer! Kudos.

Hi,
I have read your book Phoebe's performance and it's really very well written. I have started reading it's sequel.... But to my disappointment you have not updated it for a very long time. Please do complete this wonderful work of yours.

          Will eagerly wait for it.

Hi Everyone, from Australia,

(Should I fill you in a bit more on the 'Big Move'. It's been epic and crazy and HOLY GUACAMOLE crazy different from London. I still can't quite comprehend that I'm here!)

Anyway , just posted a little bit for Wattpad and a little bit for Media Corp.
Hope all of you are okay and staying safe.

Here in OZ, we're entering a 3 day lockdown.

Hello from London everyone, I wish you all love through this trying time. London lockdown has indeed been a bit of a challenge. May the rest of the year be...easier...

The best thing about the lockdown has been that even though we've not been able to go out and do things, we've been able to spend time together as a family - quality time. My daughter is now getting into role play (she is only 3) so that's cute.

I've also been able to focus on my stories a bit more. I hope all of you writers and readers have been able to focus on your passions - as there is some good - in this period.

          All the best,

          xx

So the idea, when your husband is trying to quit vaping, don't have a serious conversation with them...about anything. Or maybe, try and limit conversation with them entirely unless you want to fast track your relationship to non-relationship status. My husband was so cross at me, at life, at the world I think I just got in the way. Lockdown is a bit of a downer sometimes. He was fuming that he thought I was not supporting him enough (even though I'd committed to a month of non sweeties to coincide with the no vaping). I didn't really know what to do or which way to jump. I was so angry at the vaping by then and exhausted by the impact of withdrawal that I found myself stuffing my face and literally hoovering up Hariboo's (my daughters sweet stash from Halloween). So bad mom! I'm just hoping that she's too young to remember that she even had this treasure trove that was now deeply in my stomach.
The moral of the story is: if your partner is quitting vaping / smoking or nicotine or sugar or anything...the month is all about them until they are better equipped to handle the situation.
And I have continued to write Not According to Plan. It felt apt considering everything going on (and it's national novel writing month).
I'm not updating it yet. I'm just doing word count from this side of the desk. The word count pleasingly is growing so...watch this space.

I’m sorry to hear your going through tough times. I really am.

But hey, It is always a good idea to think ahead for the days when Covid finally goes away. I can promise you that hopefully things will get better.

Currently here in the Uk stress tensions are pretty high. While stuff like shops gyms etc are constantly reopening and closing, it does course some problems with lockdown.

So I hope you are doing well and I hope Covid will be over.

Stay strong my fellow human being. Stay strong for your husband and your kid. Stay strong for everyone you care for. And most importantly. Stay strong for yourself.

Good day or night, my fellow human being. Rest well.

That is so refreshing to hear! We had all hoped that there would be big changes in 2021, there is still hope that this year will improve! It has to!!

@AliciaMKaye. Hi, Alicia. I am in Nigeria, actually.

No lockdown here, seeing as we have a few cases in other states. The state I am is safe, thank God.

            Life is semi-normal.

And we're off ... Day one of National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) started with the discovery of no coffee, poor sleep (by me) and the announcement of one month lockdown.

Beloved hubbie woke up hung over and is trying to quit vaping. So I crossly chugged back cups of tea which I have to say make zero impact on the poor sleep issue. Tea just does not make the grade when it comes to taste. Oh and he (Hubbie) was let's politely say, 'not quite useless' with childcare of our toddler who has developed a cold after our socially distanced trick and treating last night. He just chucked her in front of the tv...(he hauled up in front of it with her).

          Happy days are here again.

So after ten thousand loads of washing, toddler who is too sick to remember that we're potty training (so more washing), all I can think is...at least I can escape to my writing. Oh and I found some solitude and bought myself a strong coffee - that was one problem I could fix.

Hope some of you have enjoyed day 1 of the writing challenge. If you haven't joined it yet, there's still plenty of time.

          Love,

Oh and also I managed to somehow lock myself out of Discord at 6:30am this morning (if any Stars are reading this - I feel like a numpty again and tips on how to get back in would be frigging amazing before I embarrass myself again contacting Wattpad HQ).
