You know what’s funny? Parents still blame video games for violent behavior when in actuality, it’s their failure to raise their kids right and bullying that’s the cause.

Look! We used to have GTA, Mortal Kombat and Tekken but you’re not gonna see us act out those games in real life. We know they’re not real.

It’s also because there were responsible adults — like a babysitter, an older sibling or maybe a teacher — who could guide any impressionable young kids out there behind the scenes.

[FUN FACT]

To the newcomers midway into S2 of SYNTHETIC BLUE and wondering why I use dark-blue or white caption bubbles for Rigel and Uncle Orion, it’s to indicate tense emotions such as excitement, anger or distress.

The only exception is at the Q&A segment where there are transparent black caption bubbles for Rigel to match the dark room environment he is in. As they belong to a species of blue stars, their voices sound like roaring flames.

Also, the main reason why Uncle Orion became a pastor is to help others and he felt guilty over an incident that killed innocent lives in the past — which their whole family had crashed into Earth in a ball of fire (which was their home).

So it’s been raining a lot here in the country which means buh-bye to the summer heat. The downside though is there’s a typhoon. I heard there are floods in other areas so hope everyone is safe 。゚(゚´人`゚)゚。

Also, I’m slowly getting over my writer’s block as I remembered that Jim Henson documentary is finally coming out in 5 days alongside Chapter 28 of SYNTHETIC BLUE. かなり素晴らしいね Pretty great, huh? (*^▽^*)

I wanna thank those who continue to stick around and support me. To the newbies from Tumblr who just stumbled upon one of my works, 皆さんを歓迎します I welcome you all! ✨✨✨

@HN1kk0 hope you have a good writing process once your writers block has gone

Instead of being discouraged for not getting a certain amount of attention as I’ve hoped, I still continue writing.

As I’m writing this, my drafts for “AMANDI: The Secret Messenger” have already reached a total of 20,488 words. I also realize that I need to move a lot more as I’ve been sitting a lot.じゃあ、ジムに行った方がいいよ。 Welp! Better hit the gym then.

I tend to write on my phone using Google Docs while on treadmill. It makes exercising a lot engaging for me. I am currently dealing with writer’s block at the moment ( ´ ▽ ` )

@HN1kk0 mmm true, you've really analyzed it well

@MJKristo11 I figured the only way to get as many readers is marketing stuff from your works that might interest them.

Like “Hey, there’s a cute mafia kid and a feisty girl you can ship in this story” and surely they’ll be drawn to read it. “Hey, there’s gay-coded characters here and you might like it” then no doubt your gay friends are gonna be intrigued to check it out as well.

@MJKristo11 While I’ve heard Inkitt is great, it doesn’t give as much attention like on Wattpad (at least for me and other writers).

What I mean is there is already this brand recognition where books published on Wattpad could gain more reach outside of the platform and luckily noticed by companies who wanna make a movie or show out of it.

I think the only reason Wattpad is terrible is they only promote stuff that are popular to it’s userbase — basically anything with romance or that’s been done a thousand times before.

I simply don’t understand why people get mad at you for not understanding certain social cues.

Like dude! Do you just bully your American friend for not knowing your culture that well? Do you go off at some kid who’s pretty new on Wattpad and tell them “you should know better than do XYZ”?

Because a lot of us are still learning and figuring ourselves out. There should be room to reflect and grow from our mistakes.

Hey guys! I just wanna wish good luck to those who are set to join this year’s Wattys event. 頑張ってください Ganbatte kudasai! (•̀ᴗ•́ )و

I have already joined last year and unfortunately, I didn’t make the cut. While it’s nice to experience winning or even making it to the Shortlist for once, I am still happy to at least try it out and find people who really appreciated my works (especially TCOTRB).

I kind of see the Wattys as some sort of lottery. You keep on participating and continue honing your writing skills — even if it takes you years — until you eventually win.

Maybe if they have judges who are a lot open to the genre you’re in, you might just be lucky.

They say bullying helps you toughen up and stuff. Yeah, no. Last time I’ve checked, it only made me even more defensive and conscious of how people perceive me.

Any form of rejection or criticism could put me on edge. It made me think it’s all my fault others don’t like me. If you do try standing up to your bullies, you get punished and told to quit being sensitive and ignore it.

However, people aren’t the same. Each of us deal with situations differently. I may seem tough but still I admit bullying has messed me up forever.

Hey guys! ANOTHER BOOK RECOMMENDATIONS FROM ME ★彡

If you’re looking for a mafia story, hope you guys give “Cassandra de Ville” by @lupe6583v a shot. It’s about a young woman who took over the mafia empire following the murder of her family. Kindly leave a comment and vote her book.

To those who are fans of Boys Over Flowers, then “The Four Bad Boys and Me” by @blue_maiden might just be your cupper (^_−)−☆

Even though I may not be a huge fan of romance or mafia stories, that doesn’t mean I can’t help other writers get attention they deserve. I hope to help them find the right audience who may actually appreciate them.

P.S. I would like to add that the book of “The Four Bad Boys and Me” is written in Filipino just so you know.
