The World Health Organisation summarises the difference between sex and gender in the following way:
          Sex refers to “the different biological and physiological characteristics of males and females, such as reproductive organs, chromosomes, hormones, etc.”
          Gender refers to "the socially constructed characteristics of women and men – such as norms, roles and relationships of and between groups of women and men. It varies from society to society and can be changed. The concept of gender includes five important elements: relational, hierarchical, historical, contextual and institutional. While most people are born either male or female, they are taught appropriate norms and behaviours – including how they should interact with others of the same or opposite sex within households, communities and work places. When individuals or groups do not “fit” established gender norms they often face stigma, discriminatory practices or social exclusion – all of which adversely affect health17.”

@BellaTrixthatsme You need quit harassing Anne. That kind of behavior is not acceptable online or anywhere else. Would you walk up to someone in public and start shouting at them and insulting them, without the slightest provocation? My guess is that you wouldn’t; you’re currently hiding behind a troll account with no works and no followers, and so you have no right to come here and slander Anne. You know you are not going to change her opinions, and you are clearly not open to changing your own opinions, so quit wasting your time and energy acting like this.

            See, there’s this thing called free will which means that Anne is allowed to disbelieve WHO, and you can’t do anything about it. Leave her be.

Jewelry is so cute T-T when I was little I used to make handmade jewelry for all my friends’ birthdays, and I was ashamed I didn’t have anything bigger to give but they always seemed delighted anyway lol I’m honestly just so happy that it’s summer finally XD I’m a summer girlie though and through; feel like I’m dead all year and then revive as soon as it gets warm haha I have a bunch of stuff lined up for the next two months, gonna be so busy with two camps (one I’m attending and one I’m co-leading), vbs, and vacation ✨

'Sex' and 'gender' are often used interchangeably, despite having different meanings:

          Sex refers to a set of biological attributes in humans and animals. It is primarily associated with physical and physiological features including chromosomes, gene expression, hormone levels and function, and reproductive/sexual anatomy. Sex is usually categorized as female or male but there is variation in the biological attributes that comprise sex and how those attributes are expressed.

          Gender refers to the socially constructed roles, behaviours, expressions and identities of girls, women, boys, men, and gender diverse people. It influences how people perceive themselves and each other, how they act and interact, and the distribution of power and resources in society. Gender identity is not confined to a binary (girl/woman, boy/man) nor is it static; it exists along a continuum and can change over time. There is considerable diversity in how individuals and groups understand, experience and express gender through the roles they take on, the expectations placed on them, relations with others and the complex ways that gender is institutionalized in society.

@BellaTrixthatsme Perfectly well. That’s why I know I don’t agree!
