Jaclyn Weist

I'm the mother of six children (ages 11 down to 3). I have been a big reader for as long as I can remember and started writing when I was in high school. 

In 2009, I took that love of reading and opened up a bookstore, Dragons and Fairy Tales. We were able to have signings at least once a month and it gave me the chance to learn a little more about the writing world. We also had a writing group where I got the idea for a book I'm writing right now.

After the bookstore, we went on an adventure to Australia. I say adventure because that's the only way to describe it. Everything that could go wrong, did. I kept a blog and when we returned home, I wrote it all out. I called the memoir "Our Misadventures Down Under."

Between kids, sports, scouts, being Relief Society President, and keeping a house somewhat under control, life is crazy. I also learned to never say the word "bored" but that's a whole different story altogether.
