Backstory: about 9M+ genocide routes. The human decided to erase Sans entirely due to Sans fully giving up on his life and not even daring to even lift a finger to fight back but Sans did not want to get erase so Sans gave one final fight but he eventually lost and he's now erased but not entirely erased he was only sent into the void with Gaster, His long time Friend after that they talk, sleep, and even tried to the "wall" they're in, in this black void everything they tried and tried, days turned to weeks, weeks turned to months and so on, but an idea came up in their heads at the same they both decided to talk about Sans absorbing Gaster soul and ignoring the accidental syncing they agreed to and they tried breaking out of the void as cracks were forming with each hit on every attack they made. After alot of attempts it work after that what they found something else it was only a blank space with only a house that's spotless of no dirt, no furnitures and they decided to make it as their home
Sans already knew the existence of other AU'S. And he asked Gaster if they were such places and Gaster confirmed it to be true, Sans and his friend Gaster has ultimately decided that this "home" would be their "base" and Sans and Gaster slowly finds way to travel through dimensions and realities, now him and Gaster are trying to get used to travelling through dimensions and realities.
