Good Morning, all. I am well aware that for some of you the day is well underway even as I am waiting on the sun to rise where I am at.

I have already been hard at work, as I had a bout of insomnia last night, so rather than lay in bed until the alarm went off, I decided to get some much needed work done.

If you haven't seen it already, my novella Spindrift is well underway. I haven't announced the new parts to it as I should, but I am inviting you to read and support it.

          	Link is: https://www.wattpad.com/story/334682404-spindrift.

Ready, vote and comment on this - it's a little outside my comfort zone in terms of material, and as always, I am aware that I have blind spots. You are amazing and stupendous to help me edit and proofread my work. Don't be afraid to tell me what you think it working, and what isn't.

Spindrift made it through Round 1 and I am looking to have an additional 2000 words done by the end of this weekend.

Thank you so much for the time you invest, and as always, happy reading.

Welp.... It's been an unplanned hiatus. Had trouble resetting my password for my account, but I haven't stopped writing.

That said, I knew it was that time of year, and got things straightened out in anticipation of the open novella contest. I have participated in this contest every year since I joined wattpad in 2020 (Wow, it's been three years already). So looking forward to the new writing prompts that they come out with (and the best part, it starts on my birthday, so what a great opportunity to have a story's 'birthday' as my own).

Give me some time to catch up. It's not that I haven't written anything. I think I have five writing projects going right now, in addition to a massive crochet project. The total finished length of the current crochet project is over 8 feet from nose to tip, so it has taken me some time.

          Happy reading.

Disappointing news: my open novella contest run has come to an end.

Disappointed, yes. But not to be out done, as my story is completed (probably forgot to check that box, but oh well). Rules are rules for a reason, and they (The contests' judges) have done well to abide by them.

That said, this is not the end for Broad Sheet. I am going to edit it and format it for release as a book... just not exactly sure when you. This is fair warning that once I do come to that decision, it will be taken down.

Not quite last call on the reading and the help I need to make this book the best it can be. Can you spare a moment to help me with that?

Follow the link (look, I have even included it) https://www.wattpad.com/story/300750488-broad-sheet.
and let me know what works, what doesn't, what you like and what you don't. It will further this book, and it will be thanks to you.

          Thank you.

          And Happy reading

It's Finished!

Checking the calendar and realizing that there are only three days left in April. AND realizing that today was likely the only time I would have for the rest of the month to actually sit down and finish my entry into the Open Novella Contest, AND get it published and into the hands of my readers (that would be you), I took the chance this morning to get it done.

          And it is done.

Now, it's on me: I have been posting up dates for the last couple of days. A few chapters I had in my arsenal that were ready to go. And it's on me for being a somewhat technology illiterate person of my age bracket, that I don't know how to publish an announcement to my followers and fellow readers from the app in the same way that I can post an update.

(Can someone advise me on this, please? How is that done?)

Anyhow, since I do most of this from my computer, I am pleased to announce that Broad Sheet is finished in all its intended glory, tracking at (According to Wattpad), 20,036 words.

Where can Broad Sheet be found? To catch up on the antics of Kash Forte, follow the link and find out her and Geena's (And for that matter, Roth's) story ends: https://www.wattpad.com/story/300750488-broad-sheet.

Me? I have to find my original prompt number and get this thing submitted.

          As always, happy reading.

I've been trying to remember the last time I posted that something was available to read, and I know it's been a while (April 14th, from the feed). Don't know what the last chapter was that I said was available for Broad Sheet, but I know have through Chapter 11 available, as of just a few minutes again.

Only a few days left of the month, and my personal count puts the word count for Broad Sheet at 15 thousand and a half words, so a little less than five thousand words to go before I hit the 20,000 word goal. I know I can do it.

If you are still working your way through the 20,000 word goal, even if you have been knocked out of the contest, I would like to give you an encouragement to keep going. Let me know what it is you are working on and I will add it to my reading list.

You haven't started Broad Sheet yet? Find it here: https://www.wattpad.com/story/300750488-broad-sheet. Vote, comment and let me know what you think it working and where you think the story is going.

Good news! Got notice this morning that I made it through to round three of The Open Novella Challenge 2022 with my novella, Broad Sheet.

I did not make it this far last year and I was getting quite nervous that they were taking their time to announce the results of round two. So that it a big relief today. Still chugging away - I have two chapters in my pocket, ready to release, and by my count, I have only about 8,000 words to go to hit the 20,000 word goal. Half a month left.

What? you haven't started Broad Sheet? Why, I just released another chapter in the last few days (on me, that I haven't made a big deal about it).

          Find it here: https://www.wattpad.com/story/300750488-broad-sheet.

Catch up on what's happening to Kash Forte as she pursues finding her sister following the fall of the Rebellion.

          As always, Happy Reading.

With the end goal being around 20,000 words for the Open Novella Challenge (in all honesty, I am for 21,000 or so, just to cover all my bases), I have posted chapter 8 today, bringing my overall word count for Broad Sheet to just over 9,000 words.

The idea of a transformed woman - a manipulative, distorted religious term - but suddenly, is the idea of a transformed woman something completely different for Kash Forte?

Have you been keeping up with Kash on her journey? Find Broad Sheet here: https://www.wattpad.com/story/300750488-broad-sheet, read it as it is, comment on your favorite parts and please vote.

Part seven of Broad Sheet is now live! I didn't think I would get a chance to hammer out the last one thousand words or so, but I took the opportunity to sit down at my computer and do the work today.

          Yay, me.

Rounding out at 8,019, Broad Sheet is just over the 8,000 mark. So far, so go.

What? You haven't read it? Well, here's the link as a reminder.

Read it, let me know what you think and vote. I have said it before, I am thoroughly enjoying this story, so much more than most (although I enjoy them all).

It's Schrodinger's cat all over again: Is Geena alive or dead? Or worse, could Kash's action kill her. Find out how Kash resolves the cycle in her mind in this chapter.

          Happy reading.

Parts four and five of Broad Sheet are now live, bringing, by my immediate word count, to 6052 words. With roughly half a month left of the ONC 2022 before round two closes, and around 2000 or so words left to go, I am confident I shall meet the word goal for this quarter. I do like to give myself a buffer.

If you haven't read it, Broad Sheet can be found here:

Kash is left contemplating how she is going to get off the planet to help her sister when unlikely aid is offered. Rules, after all, are made to be broken - or at least, loopholes found.

          Happy Reading.
