that flock, to gawk
at my vacillations.

about a life that feels unadorned,
a resilient beast -
a dumbwaiter of sorts

There are noises in the attic—
murmurs, that cocoon,
like an auditory swirl of solitude.
A drift of reverie,
punctuated by the flight of doves.
On the wing, on the wind.

I note with some sadness that some of the writers I had followed here on Wattpad before are truly gone. Their talents were lights in the darkness, and I miss them all.

Happiness is a stormcloud,
weighted with nourishment
for the lucky few.
We can watch it from our distance -
in orbit, yet in plain sight,
if you should so remotely choose.
