Victoria is new to the Wattpad community but not so new to writing. She is the author of 10 books for children and adults including the short, IRL rom-com "How to Not Look Like Crap When You're Camping"-- a finalist in the 2007 CBC Literary Awards. She is the creator of the funny, feisty fictional Power family "Mimi Power and the I-don't-know-what" (Tradewind Books) and companion holiday story: "A Power Christmas Special" (Apple Books). "Mimi" was a finalist for the 2013 BC Book Prizes' Sheila A. Egoff Children's Literature Prize, an official selection of the Red Cedar Awards and a finalist in the Saskatchewan Young Readers' Choice Diamond Willow Awards.

Animals, accordions and wild adventures have all been featured in Victoria's work. Her picturebook "Old Mother Bear" (Chronicle Books) received the 2007 fiction, ecology and environment Henry Bergh Award from the American Society for the Protection of Animals. Her historical novel, "Magnifico" (Fitzhenry & Whiteside), won the F.G. Bressani novel prize, and was a finalist in four Canadian children's choice awards.

When she's not writing, Victoria teaches media studies at a local university; reads; walks her dog; reads; knits, bakes, drinks tea and...reads.
