I majored in English. I minored in life. My name is Kristen, a Wattpad-featured author and hopeful for a published book down the road.

I have been passionate about the arts, particularly language, since I can remember. I began obsessively listening to classical music at around age 3, and as soon as I could write, I was inventing my own stories and worlds. In first grade, I learned one of my most important lessons regarding writing that began to shape my style: use variance in your words. Don't be dull--be creative! Paint a picture. And so paint I did. In second grade, I began refusing trips to the library for a break in favor of listening to my teacher read the latest chapter of whatever book we were following. After class, I would go pick up the book for myself and re-read frantically. In sixth grade, I was recommended for advanced English and received my first solid vote of confidence in my area of passion. I went full steam ahead with that recommendation and I have never stopped since. Like Ian Foster, what moves me, what captivates me--are words. Always.

Favorite artists/books/inspirations: T.S. Eliot, Robert Frost, J.K. Rowling, Gary Paulsen, Lois Lowry, Maurice Sendak, Julian Casablancas, George R.R. Martin, Harry Potter, The Outsiders, Billie Joe Armstrong, Don McLean, Van Gogh, and a bunch of other stuff I've forgotten worse than Neville Longbottom with his Remembrall.

Anything else you wanna know, just message me! I'm very friendly and love to swap writing advice!
