I don't know who is going to read this, but for those who do, know this. Life is precious. Never take it for granted. 
          The father of one of my friends passed away recently, and by that, I mean very recently. It was a shock, and for the first time I truly tried to understand what it would be like without my parents. The thought itself was painful, so I could only imagine what it feels like for my friend. We aren't even close, but growing up in the same neighbourhood, having intertwined childhoods, I feel I should write this. 
          Life is precious. Be grateful that it exists.

          "I'm going to be sick," Vae had a hand clamped against her mouth, back hunched over and ready to collapse.
          "Seriously? Stop being so dramatic," I raised a questioning eyebrow, gaze roaming over her pale face and weak arms gripping the side of the bathroom sink.
          "Since when did you become so confident? And frankly, rude?" 
          "Anyone would be more confident that you right now," my arms crossed themselves amusedly as my body fell against the doorframe of the washroom. It was a rare gem to see Vae so frantic over absolutely nothing. "You aren't even sick."
          "Am too," she gave a trying roll of the eyes, though only seeming to get half way. "You would be too, if it involved Kathleen."
          "And you say I'm rude."
          "Whatever," she pushed back loose strands of her hair, taking a long glance in the mirror. "Just post it. Then the readers can prove to you how weird it was."
          "That, I will do." Waving the chapter in front of my face, I turned on my heel and walked out with a grin on my face.
