Gwendy Gayle's first love is art. She is so focused on her craft as an artist that she didn't realize she had a knack for writing until at age 15, when she won 1st runner up in a high school essay writing contest. She has since established herself as a fan fiction writer and had also been a writer and editor-in-chief during her college years.

Gwendy has written two manuscripts, though her focus now is on "Fires and Embers", a historical novel set in World War II Philippines. She has also written comic scripts (some she draws herself) and screenplays. In college, she produced one of her screenplays into a short film, which won her 1st place (both picture and director) in her university's film festival.

Gwendy is also a voracious bookworm. As a child, she preferred story books to dolls. Still a wide-reader, she has since grown out of romance novels and now prefers True Crime (Ann Rule), thrillers (John Grisham) and a touch of fantasy (Terry Pratchett).

Gwendy currently works from home as a freelance graphic artist and illustrator, as well as a freelance engagement photographer. Past careers include a stint in a call center as well as graphic artist work. She is happily married to a businessman and shares their home with their mischievous dog Choppy.
