Update!

I’ve decided to unpublish Road To Utopia until I can give it the attention it deserves. Behind the scenes I have another two books on the go and I want to give them all the time they need. Between a 9-5 and a small business, I don’t want to over-commit and disappoint!

FOTF will stay up as it’s complete - though I’m messing around with that idea to rewrite it at the moment. But because FOTF and it’s characters are my ultimate pride and joy, I’m going to need to nurture that for a long ol’ time.

Thank you for reading this, and I’m so sorry my activity has dropped off the face of the Earth. I don’t want to be MIA, but sometimes you have to prioritise your mental health and work had really drained my energy. I really hope you understand, and I want to support all of your journeys in any way I can. I haven’t been reading at all recently so if you need me to give some feedback/r4r give me a nudge!!

To all my r4r friends and active readers of Road To Utopia, I’m so sorry for being so inactive as of late. I’ve had quite a terrible time at work and it’s safe to say it has consumed most of my energy - for much longer than I’d hoped.

I’m trying to keep that motivation but to be able to write something I’m proud of, I need to give myself the time I need to work on it.

At the moment, I’m playing around with the idea of rewriting The Fall of the Fainthearts as a traditional novel, as opposed to the documentary format that it is currently. Please let me know your thoughts on this!

I will get round to my r4r’s as soon as possible and I’m so sorry for slacking on them. Give me a nudge if needed and I will get to it asap!

Thank you for being so understanding and still interacting with my books and page. I’m so grateful to have people that enjoy my work, and to have people who give such great feedback and write such entertaining stories for me to give my own feedback on!

          Thank you, again,

@ljkacey Oh no worries at all! I totally understand the burnout and it's honestly amazing how taking a break for a while helps get the fires of inspiration started again. As far as the rewrite for the Fall of the Fainthearts, I think the current format is brilliantly done. It really showcases the strength of the dialogue, and so well done how you can show a full picture of the characters (wants, needs, personalities) by jus dialogue! It was kind of refreshing to get all that information without all the traditional description and worldbuilding. The only thing that I needed clarifying on was if they were all having the interview on the same time, but otherwise, I really enjoyed the format. The stage directions or in-between text was actually really helpful for me in that way. But knowing the strength of your writing and how engaging your characters are, I also wouldn't mind seeing a traditional novel format either, just to see what your vision is when translating it to Fainthearts. So, I'm gonna say too that I love the idea of both! But of course, whenever you feel well rested again to write.

Kitty Winslet is on top of the world. At least - everybody thinks she is. As she navigates the tumultuous world of fame after childhood stardom, Sawyer Grant wouldn't recognise her if she was standing right beside her latest blockbuster's billboard. When the two collide in an unexpected exchange, mixed feelings in unknown territory leave them both wondering the same question; who is going to be the one to sacrifice all they've ever known? Or is it better for them to just forget they ever met?
