I am a freelance editor dba Word Polish Editorial and E-Publishing Services for the Independent Author. My proofreading skills were honed while working at the university where I earned my bachelor’s degree in mass communication. Upon graduating, I immediately set my sights on a graduate degree in publishing. An internship-based M.S. program, the university recognized that a theory of publishing is only the foundation.

I am a versatile partner in the author’s process and can assist in a wide range of tasks: substantive editing, proofreading, copy editing, or even e-publishing. I have particular interests in editing young adult and new adult fiction, fantasy, and chick lit, but will approach any fiction genre with enthusiasm.

As a reader, I admire anyone who can create a world and write about it. As an editor, I will treat any project that crosses my path with the utmost respect. As a collaborator, I will be as sensitive to the author’s voice as I would be their deadline. Communication is essential, and our relationship will not be lacking.
