Sébastien Angelo

Séb is a Photographer, Painter, Features Editor for the campus papers, Writer of poems, novels and short stories, a Bookworm and a Coffeeholic. He was born on the 16th September, 1994 in the Philippines.

He’s never had any formal photography and art training. He’s used only vivid imagination to capture and create such beauties that this world has offered but people barely notice. Also, he does not like elitist art world very much because he believes that true art speaks for itself and has no need for long ostentatious sentences made of words that are too big to decipher. He thinks that Art should be for everyone, enjoyed by everybody who’s interested in it and not just the people who sound like they swallowed a dictionary when they blabber about it.

He started writing poems when he was seven. Initially, it was only to let the lackluster time pass as he locked himself in his room and caged himself in solitude. He has always preferred to be alone in a dark space and bury himself in deep thoughts. However, this leisure became a habit and then subtly grew into something wider when he found glee in writing his own stories. His favorite authors inspire him to keep his grip on the pen and just let the genuine feelings form the letters and words: Charles Bukowski, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Jack Kerouac and John Green and David Levithan.

His work, from art to literature, is mostly composed of surreal, bizarre and melancholic subjects.
