Hi.
Let's be real here. I have no idea what I'm doing with my life or even what I'm doing on Wattpad... But I can tell you why I write.
When I was younger everyone knew I was different. Instead of asking to join an after school sport, I'd ask for more paper. I would draw all the time (even if I was trying to draw mum and it ended up looking something similar to male genitals) and I loved drawing, I didn't care what it looked like. Unfortunately my drawings never reached the highest honour a child can have of 'refrigerator status' which is essentially when mum sticks your shitty drawings on the fridge. So I just stopped. But then after about five minutes of playing with playdoh I got bored and started drawing again and eventually I became quite good at it.
In year three, everyone in my class was given a writing journal that we could write stories in. I wrote in it constantly. Even when I wasn't supposed to. I'd take books with lined paper so I could write at lunch and recess, officially replacing my colouring books. 
Eventually the teacher read the stories in our books and she liked mine so much, I got to read it in front of my class. At that point, because I was separated from my best friend, whom was in a different class, writing and art were the only things did in class. There was no one to tell me to pay attention.
Back then, I wouldn't touch a book with a ten foot pole and would probably sit there burning them if I had the choice. (Please don't kill me)
But now all I do is read and write and draw.
Because of that journal, five years ago I started writing. 
I didn't have the best childhood, but writing gave me the opportunity to bring out the good parts. And I wouldn't have it any other way.
So that's why I write.
I've hit 7k reads on a book, so I must be doing something right I suppose.
