A number of things have happened recently that make me sick to my stomach.

First of all, using a 17 year old girl’s underwear as evidence in court to imply consent? How can a piece of fabric be interpreted as consent? Why do people (men in this particular instance) not understand that the only thing that can definitively be taken as consent is the word yes? My heart fully goes out to that poor girl, her family and every woman who now is in danger because of the underwear she wears.

Secondly, passing a bill to ban abortion? The bill states that abortion can not be carried out after the first heartbeat is detected - which can be as early as six weeks into a pregnancy. The problem with that? Many women don’t find out they’re pregnant until after six weeks. This therefore traps a woman in a life that they don’t want to have, can’t afford or a life full of trauma. And what about these babies? Born into families where they don’t want them, possible abused? Born into poverty? Born resented? It’s not fair on the child, never mind the mother.

little update:

          • I just posted a new story (thank you, next) so go check that out

          • I updated my covers for all my books and they actually look half decent

          • I deleted jailbird because I thought it was too cliché and couldn’t think of a more exciting, alternative plot line

          • new chapter of new orleans should be up soon, just finishing it up and have to proof read

          • first actual chapter of bubblegum bitch should be up after - almost finished writing and need to proof read

          • I have two unpublished books that I really want to post but I need to slow tf down and finish the books I’ve already started first

          • sweet home alabama will be my focus once new orleans and bubblegum bitch have been updated

I feel like I need to say this and just update everybody... Firstly, I deleted Aftershock because I just had no inspiration to write it. I had an end goal for the book but no content for how it got to that end point. I prefer to have everything planned out like what's going to happen in each chapter but that book was just me writing on a whim, and it wasn't very good. However, I am still writing New Orleans, Sweet Home Alabama and Jailbird. I'm just trying to get ahead of myself at the moment. I also have two unpublished books that I'm excited to start writing.

Secondly, I wanted to update everybody on my situation. I knows my updates have been very... scarce. Like I said, I'm trying to get ahead by a few chapters in each book so that I'm not in this position again. But lately I'm finding it harder to get time to write, or find the motivation/energy to write. I'm a student nurse; I work 42 hours a week which is mostly twelve and a half hour shifts plus over time. I also then spend one day at week at university 9-6. I obviously then have a social life on top of that. I am trying my best and I promise you that I will update soon x
