pretty statements lacking meaning
words of comfort from mouths that have
never spoken of kindness
floating in the air like useless particles
rehearsed and performed by
the greatest of narcissists
piety confused for goodness
and brutality glorified
if you haven't suffered enough
you're not worthy of their time
infected self-righteousness and Janus-faced martyrs
ficticiously fighting for a cause
when all they truly seek is sanctification and applause
