Months ago: the day after Minho and Hyunjin caught Chan on the call
Yiren watched various K-pop girl group stages, staring at the grand setups and the flying confetti and the outfits of the idols performing on the stage. She sighed.
She longed to be on a stage and perform on the songs which she could call her own. The amount of envy she felt at that moment was immaculate. And to end that cycle of thoughts perhaps pertaining to jealousy, she slammed her laptop shut, and that's when her phone tinged.
She grabbed it and saw a notification from that sketchy app. And of course, it was her only friend.
Yiren squealed as she opened the text message, and to her pleasant surprise, it was a long paragraph from Minho:
DoNotTextMe: yeah so I'm late for this, but I'm a good person so I'll tell you what I feel. You might be weird af, but you seem nice. Very very eccentric, I might add. But you make me think that you're good at heart and that's exactly why I like talking to you. Now don't get ahead of yourself because I said that I like talking to you. You're a nice person, thanks for listening to my TED talk.
DoNotTextMe: I also demand a Gucci shirt for saying all that.
Yiren would be lying if she said that she didn't tear up a bit at that.
HaloBishes: stfu minho you're gonna make me cry
DoNotTextMe: Gucci shirt, now
HaloBishes: I would buy it for you if I had the money
HaloBishes: BEC IM FRICKIN SCREENSHOTTING THAT MESSAGE
HaloBishes: BRB GONNA CRY
DoNotTextMe: DON'T YOU CRY ON ME
DoNotTextMe: I get awkward when I handle crying people
HaloBishes: then get ready for a shit ton of awkwardness
Yiren smiled at her phone.

Minho smiled at his phone.
"Who's got you smiling like that?" came Changbin's teasing voice, and Minho immediately turned off his phone's screen and clutched it to his chest.
Changbin noticed that and continued, "Oh? You're hiding your phone now?"
"Yeah, so?" Minho got defensive.
"Are you hiding something? Maybe someone special?" Changbin nudged him further, and Minho rolled his eyes.
"I was making a meme of you so that Chan can upload it on his secret stan account," he retorted, and the smile on Changbin's face vanished.
"Yah!"
"Stay here for another second and I'm making another one of those."
"Get lost!" Changbin said and walked off.
"You're the one getting lost, by the way," Minho called after him, and he heard a scoff coming from the buff rapper.
As soon as he was gone, Minho reopened the texts, and found her texting him:
HaloBishes: ykw? Im done crying
HaloBishes: now I'll tell you a little secret about myself
DoNotTextMe: I didn't ask but okay
HaloBishes: how sweet
HaloBishes: but well, I'm a trainee at JYPE
"She's a what?"
