Between the dwindling and torn down buildings, trucks drive past as several Marines approach an apartment block
"First and second level, we found the sniper glints there." One of the marines whispers as a squad of SAC Operators come in view
The Capital, four hours since the breach
It had become late in the night, they had gotten word that the Navy had passed through, and with helicopters coming the invasion had gone into full force as all attention was directed to the Capital for the taking
Leech opens the door as several Empire soldiers come rushing at him
Leech moves to a side as he fires his rifle, Parks enters right after and does the same
The five Empire soldiers fall with quick deaths as Parks nails a final bullet at a soldier that was bleeding out
"Northern gate force has been taken completely, however southern gates is still struggling to take over the slums."
A red Walker contractor enters the room, blood on his uniform and combat gear, he almost materializes out of thin air
Parks nods, although annoyed
"Eastern Gate holding up?"
"We think they're still scared that our Navy is coming, although.." the Contractor then places a tablet at a nearby table as two marines check the upper floors, the rest checks the room but Leech nods for them to give them space
Two loud muffled gunshots exit the upper floors as Parks takes the tablet
"Got that dirtbag!" One of the marines upstairs shouts in excitement
The tablet's contents was a aerial picture of the Eastern Gate/Entrance to the city
But it was entirely empty, all the major roads in the area have been spotted to be chock full of Empire soldiers being redirected West, North or South
"Are they repositioning?" Parks hands the tablet to Leech who inspects it
The Red Walker Contractor Captain nods his head, although unsure, he takes the tablet as Leech hands it back
"Most likely, they know whatever gear they have won't stand against our firepower or vehicles alone."
Parks sighs as the rest of Team One enters the room
"That was a quick pickup from West." Leech comments as Smith shrugs
"I heard what you guys were saying, why haven't they started to prepare? Moving in a large force like that will only bring trouble." Smith points at the tablet
Everyone in the room looks at him
"Thats what we're trying to figure out." The Red Walker Captain sighs before grabbing the handle of his rifle
"Navy is coming soon, so we just have to guess whether why their abandoning their posts."
1-4 then raises a hand, Leech, like a tired elementary teacher, nods for him to continue, crossing his arms in the process
"Did they destroy any key points? I remember there being a large garrison during that stuff with Dreyfila." 1-4 asks, the Red Walker Contractor takes the tablet and zooms into the photo
To the surprise of the entire room, the Captain responds with a shocked no
"Hmm." Parks walks to a side of the room as the two marines from earlier walk down the stairs, dragging two bags full of weapons
