Nysa Wadworth figured she was a little crazy.
At least that's what her nasty ex said about her after Nysa decided to dump her with a measly phone call while she was on holiday.
The Wadworth's also seemed to agree. Her older brother, Nikhil, always said that she would much rather embark on an epic fantasy quest or delve into the twisted secrets of a haunted Stephen King town and somehow manage to save the world after countless near death experiences then to simply live out her days like a boring person from a contemporary novel.
Nysa believed them all to be foolish. She just wanted to get lost, preferably with someone she could fall in love with.
She never though that her 'masochistic' dreams would ever come true. Not when she had to move to the unknown town of Forks to help look after her grandmother who had suddenly become rather poorly.
On second thought...that did sound pretty mysterious.
Moving from Jacksonville, Florida to the small, rainy town of Forks, Washington was more difficult than Nysa thought. With a new school, having to make friends and a sick grandmother, Nysa started to think this was going to end up as a contemporary, yet tumultuous, YA fiction novel.
But that was before she begun to learn about her family's ancient secret, something that had been hidden from Nysa all her life. She never thought it would tie directly into the alluring, placid girl she started seeing who lived on the other side of town.
