I think I might've inhaled you.
I can feel you behind my eyes.
You've gotten into my bloodstream.
I can feel you floating in me.

CAROLINE GROANED IN FRUSTRATION at the traffic jam on the stairs. Boys were shoved against each other all the way down, and she was constantly being pushed and shoved. It was like swimming upstream, except everyone else was trying to swim in the same direction. At this rate, they were all going to be late to class.

"Slow down," McAllister called to the crown as he walked up the stairs against the flow of students. "Slow down, you horrible phalanx of pubescence."

Although she had only known him for a matter of hours, Caroline was not the man's biggest fan. However, listening him scold and shout a variety of insults at the boys was actually quite funny, if she had to admit it.

She finally pushed her way through the sea of boys with just enough time to sprint down the hallways and figure out where her first class, chemistry, was. She ran down the hallway, glancing at room numbers until she found the room she was looking for.

She stumbled into the room clumsily, and her face turned pink when she realized that all eyes were on her. Some of them shocked to see a girl in their midst, and some, the more well-informed, surprised to see her in such a state.
