A New And Better Life

'Ooooh, look at you! Hey, beauty,' Elisabeth whispers in her ear. She holds her suitcase and Jenny in her arms. The cat holds her little paws out to her. 

'Hi, Jenny.' She pets the cat and Jenny purrs satisfiedly.

She gets kissed by Elisabeth and they head to the harbor. The moon shines bright.

'Ready for a happier life, my dear Maria?' She whispers.

'Yes, Elisabeth.' She whispers hoarsely. 

They lean towards each other and share a passionate kiss. She feels like the happiest girl alive. 

'Marry me, Maria.' She whispers. 'Be my wife! I want to marry you!'

'But I'm only nineteen,' she whispers.

'Today is your birthday! Remember?'

'Fuck! Of course!' She sighs.

Elisabeth cups her face. 'Happy birthday, sweetheart.' She kisses her deeply.

'Thanks. And yes,' she beams. 'I'd love to marry you.'

Elisabeth smiles brightly, leans in and kisses her again. She gently pushes her to the ground and strokes her body. She undoes her dress and they make love underneath the stars.

Elisabeth smiles. 'Maria. Mariana.'

'How do you know my birth name?'

'Hmmm…' She smirks.

'Well?'

'I've been slightly obsessed with you…' Elisabeth admits. 

Elisabeth used to keep her name on a paper underneath her pillow. Mariana Catherine Moore. Maria. 

'Elisabeth. Eliza.' Maria whispers.

'Yes. I love you. Will you be mine forever, Maria?'

She nods, and they kiss again. With tongue.
