Two years have gone by now and it's no longer just Sonic and Tails, their group is growing... And so is Tails, with an ever growing soft spot for Sonic, and an even stronger desire to love him. They would all go on all sorts of adventures together. Just recently they stopped Eggman from extracting a valuable resource from the planet to use exclusively for himself. Tails enjoyed all these adventures and making all these new friends. But with all the happiness... Also came another feeling he wasn't sure about, he never knew what it was but he only felt it when Amy would try and flirt with Sonic, or when Knuckles would push Sonic around in a joking manner, or when Shadow and Sonic would train together and Shadow would come out on top of Sonic.

It was like he was angry, and all this fire was burning inside his chest. The fox didn't feel comfortable really talking about it at the moment so he'd just write it all down in a diary. He'd write about his adventures and how much he loved being around Sonic, how he made him feel at ease.

When Sonic's group started growing, Tails decided to move out of the house he spent most of his life living at the brand new base of operations that the group had created in the Emerald Hill Zone, at this time they were still deciding on a name for their group. When their base was being built a space was made for Tails to store his inventions as well as the plane Sonic finished building for him, it had more space then the other shop he had so he could store more stuff. He also had his own room which was also bigger then the one he had back in his original home.

The fox sits down at his desk and takes out a grey book from one of the cabinets. To make sure nobody could peak inside when he wasn't writing in it, he bought a diary that could lock shut, this way his secrets could be kept secret. Before he starts writing, there's a banging sound on the door, Tails grunts and gets up to see who's there... It's Shadow, he's standing there with his arms crossed, holding an empty mug, moody doesn't come close to describing how he was feeling.

"...Yes?" Tails says.

"The microwave is broken... Can you fix it?"

"Why is it broken?" Tails asks, the fox expects Shadows answer to be ridiculous in some nature.

"Knuckles got impatient while waiting for his burrito to finish warming up. Can you hurry up to? When I don't have my coffee, you know how I get" Shadow answers.

Tails' eye twitches, "Sure, hold on-"

He closes the door and goes over to shut his diary so he can lock it. Then he goes outside of his room and let's Shadow lead him to the kitchen. It's even worse then he thought, Knuckles ripped the door off and it looked like he punched it so many times that it legit looked like a pancake. Tails stands there doing his best to control his rage while Shadow stares at the pancaked microwave on the counter.

"So?" Shadow says.

"Two things: Do not ever let Knuckles use anything around here without supervision. Second, this is not fixable! Look at the state of this thing, he destroyed it!"

Shadow grumbles, "Iced coffee it is-"

Then he walks off to go prepare some. Tails shouts in aggravation. He starts picking up pieces of the microwave and putting them in a box. Whenever something like this would happen, he'd at least try sparing the undamaged or lesser damaged components for future use on his projects.

Once Tails is done cleaning up Knuckles mess, he carries the boxes of the broken microwave parts and puts the ones with the components in his workshop and the unusuable pieces outside so he could take them to some junkers. Tails ended up traveling for almost three hours searching for a replacement microwave. By the time he found a new one, it was already time for supper. Tails finishes setting up the microwave and sits there to make sure Knuckles doesn't end up smashing this one as well.
