I remember when I realised that my life was tethered to a beat
It was terrifying
I was terrified. And I remember crying because of the wounds I got from being slammed down to earth
I remember being called nice and understanding
I remember feeling like I was drowning
And now I try to not forget how light and airy my childlike fantasies were
The times when I loved without fear.
Ever since the day I heard my beating heart
Mortal chains have held me from dreaming too farAnd every day is a struggle to remake me,
To survive The Awakening.4:07
