"Why do you snap those rubber bands all the time?"
Cause I can
"Oh, okay."
Whatever
I walk through the hall with my head down
Hoping they wouldn't bother me
I don't do anything
I just wish they'd leave me be
It isn't happening today
I'm pushed to the floor
I'm shoved into the wall
My stuff is thrown
I'm stepped on
I'm laughed at
I'm called names
Fat
Stupid
Idiot
Loser
Bitch
Slut
Whore
Kill yourself
End it now
I want to cry
But I don't
It makes it worse
They laugh
The rubber bands break
I snapped them too much
I ask to leave
I go to the bathroom and cry in the stall
The bell rings to leave the school
I dry my tears and run home
I run to my bathroom and grab the blade
The blade I haven't touched in days
Even though it feels like forever
I cut so deep
Three distinct lines in my already marred wrist
I bleed a lot
They won't stop
My parents break in the door
They heard me crying
They knew something was wrong
They call an ambulance
I've lost a lot of blood
I have to get stitches
This is a wake up call
I want to save myself
But they're going to keep me
To make sure I can get help
I don't think they'll be able to fix me
But they can try
As long as I hope for relief
Relief from my life
A life I wanted to end
It'll work out
It has to
