Chapter #7

The wedding started. Everyone was enjoying even Shahyan. He was feeling light, free and peace. Today was the wedding day and everyone has already reached the venue. Wajdaan was smiling and laughing teasing his wife who was a blushing mess.

"Warda, woh loog aagaye" her brother announced
(Warda, they are here)

Soon the Khan family got the biggest shock of their lives. Shahyan who was oblivious to his surroundings turned when he heard his mother's gasp. He turned and saw her. She came running to her best friend and hugged her.

"Mubarak hoo! Jeeju ki ikloti saali aagaye!!" Rumaisa chirped
(Congratulations!! Brother in law's one and only sister in law is here)

Oh how much he missed her melodious voice.

Umer Rajput, Asghar Rajput, Asiya Rajput, Umaima Rajput and Ahmed Rajput were shocked as this was unexpected. Ahad joined his sister on the stage along with his wife.

"Jeeju, mera naig?" She asked

Wajdaan was beyond shocked. He was looking at Rumaisa as if he saw some sort of ghost. Rumaisa's eyes were sparkling with enthusiasm.

"Jeeju?" She called
"Huh? Han! Naig" he replied
"Fifty thousand only" she demanded
"Naig kis ki cheeze ka?" He asked
(For what?)
"Haw! Aapki ikloti saali hon aur stage charhaye pay mein yahan nahi thi ab aagaye hon na!" She explained
(Haw! I am your only sister in law and I wasn't here when you stepped on the stage but now I am here na!)

He smiled and patted her head. She smiled while forwarding her palm waiting for her share. Soon, a stack of five thousand rupees was placed on her hands. She looked up to find him. Shahyan was staring at her with adoration. Her eyes went wide by the sight of him. She gulped and looked at her surrounding to find Palwashay glaring at her. Her palms started to shake. Beed of sweat formed on her forehead. She tried to maintain her posture and smiled nervously. Trying not to spoil Warda's big day, Rumaisa quietly got up and descended down the stage along with an angry Ahad and Aina who was worried for her sister in law. Rumaisa took baby steps towards Ahmed who was cautiously observing his sister's scared condition. He sighed in defeat nad hd her from the side. Azlaan and Aliyan stayed silent for their sister's sake while glaring the floor.

"Asalam O Alikum" Arif Ali Khan greeted
"Walikum Asalam" the eldest replied
"Umer bhai aur Asghar bhai aap loogon ko abba ji bula rahay hain" he informed
(Brother Umer and Asghar, father is calling you)

Despite the hatred for this family they had, they still respected the elders and the hidden relationship they had. Umer Rajput nodded, silently following Arif Ali Khan with his elder brother. Umaima Rajput and Asiya Rajput were also signalled to join them. Soon the Rajput siblings were joined by Shahyan. He greeted all of them while staring at the beauty infront of him. The beast inside of him was restless. His princess was here. She was infront of him. His eyes filled with tears. He took a few steps towards her and kneeled infront of her. How ironic, the man who never once bowed infront of anyone except his grandparents and parent kneeled in front of his this ordinary girl. His eyes displayed a mountain of emotions that he wasn't able to answer.

"Shukar Alhumdulillah" he whispered

This word caught everyone's attention. Ahmed was feeling guilty to seperate a man from his love but he didn't have any other choice. He didn't want his sister to be sacrificed to end this conflict between these two families. He never imagined this. On the other side, the elders were oddly quiet but this silence indicated the upcoming storm. Umer Rajput was sitting next to Dawood Ali Khan while Umaima Rajput was sitting next to Sumaira Khan.

"Mein tujhsay kuch maango toh dayga, Umer?" Dawood Ali Khan asked
(If ask you something so will you give it to me, Umer?)
"Agar meray bas mein hua toh day donga" Umer Rajput replied
(If I could then I would)
"Tu apni Rumaisa meray Shahyan ko day de" Dawood Ali Khan's request worked as fuel in fire
(Give your Rumaisa to my Shahyan)

There was long pause. No one spoke. Everyone was observing Umer Rajput. His face was blank. His eyes were empty. His posture stiffened. His hand clenched into a fist as if his heart and mind were fighting. A lone tear dropped from his eyes betraying his efforts. He quickly wiped it and complained.

"Humesha aaploog dil pay hi kyun hamla kartay hain?" His complaint broke everyone
(Why do you always attack my heart?)
"Mein Shahyan ko nahi kho sakta" Dawood Ali Khan whispered helplessly
(I can't lose Shahayn)
"Aur mein Rumaisa ko" Umer Rajput replied venomously
(And I can't lose Rumaisa)
"Uss aik hadsay ki saza humari aulaadon ko kyun day rahay ho?" Asif Ali Khan asked with difficulty
(Why sre you punishing our children because of one incident?)
"Kyun ki aap loogon nay unnkay gunah garon ko saza nahi di. Woh aaj bhi khushiyan mana rahay hain. Aaj bhi woh aap k ghar aatay jaatay hain jaisay kuch nahi hua" Umer Rajput stated
(Because you left their sinners without any punishment. Till this date they are enjoying. They visit your house like nothing happened)
"Mein tareekh ko dohrana nahi chah raha tha lekin tumnay mujhay majboor kiya hai! Kahani khatam hogi. Iss baar jeet Mohabbat ki hogi chahaye khud say yah phir zoor zabardasti say" Dawood Ali Khan announced
(I don't want to repeat the history but you forced me. This time live will win either by hook or crook)

These words took the elders of the Rajput family to the most bitterest moment of their life. The pain resurfaced but this time it was intense.

Start Of Flashback:
There he stood pointing his gun towards Umaima Rajput while the males were held by a few man. Asiya Rajput was standing in a corner like a scared kitten. The girl standing in the middle infront of that man was crying and shaking like a kitten. Her crystal clear tears were burning his soul but he had to ignore them. His eyes showed no emotion but only he knew what he was hiding behind his cold demeanour.

"Aik aakhari mauka hai, mujhsay shaadi karein gi aap? Han yah nah?" He asked in his deep addictive voice
(You a last chance, will you marry me? Yeh or no?)

When she didn't reply he asked again.

"Yes or no?!" His voice roared in the house scaring the wits out of her while pressing the gun more in Umaima Rajput's head making her yelp in pain
"Han! Han karongi mein aapsay shaadi lekin please iss gun ko door karay! Please! Iss gun ko phaikay!" She shouted in fear
(Yes! Yes I will marry you but please take this gun away! Please! Throw this gun away)

Without wasting another moment, that man hugged her in a comforting hug while she was still shivering. He pulled out and wiped her tears. He slid a beautiful ring which had a huge sapphire in the middle and was surrounded by tiny diamonds. She looked at him with her cute grey doe eyes which were red and swollen due to crying this much.
End Of Flashback...

By now the Rajput elders were crying silently. Seeing their condition the Khan elders lowered their heads in guilt because of the past and upcoming future. All of them looked at Shahyan and Rumaisa who were still in the same position.
