ください
ください means please and is used with the て form. Here are som exanples.

待てください! -please wait!
見てください -please wait
聞いてください -please listen

Without ください the phrase will turn into a damand instead of a request. It is common to not use ください among friends and family but if you dont use ください with strangers or older people, you may be considered as a rude person.
