and here i am.
laying, tangled
beneath the sheets
and
between your legs
it's 7 a.m.
and there you are.
sleeping, soundly
on top of me
and
your head perfectly nuzzled in the crook of my neck.
here i am
playing with your hair
waiting for you
there you are
opening your eyes
looking back.
it's in that moment
looking into your eyes
that it happened
time stood still
light from the window became
brighter
my heart started beating to its
own rhythm
brown eyes created colors
unimaginable
it was the perfect moment
to tell you
to say what i've always wanted to tell someone
but i didn't
instead i smiled
instead i chose to
bask in the incredible feeling of being here with you.
