Chapter Aesthetics:
"Jace?" I walked towards him and wondered if I was still sleeping. This can't be real can it?
"You said to come get you," Jace spread his arms and I walked into them, "I'm here."
Our embrace ends when I looked up at him in confusion. How did he get all the way here? For what?
"What are you doing here?"
"I'm here for you," he replied.
"What do you mean?" I don't understand, how can he be here?
"Can we get coffee somewhere?" he asked, ignoring my question, "On my way here from the airport I saw a hundred coffee shops I swear."
"Sure, yeah." I replied, still confused.
"Let's go," he helped me put my jacket on and we're out, walking to a coffee shop. This is bizarre, him being here is so unexpected I keep turning to look at him to make sure it's really him here.
As soon as we're seated I looked at him expectantly.
"Well?" I need an explanation.
"Well what?" he smiled.
"Well what are you doing here Jace?"
"Would you like to order?" I'm interrupted by the waiter.
"I'll have a milk tea," I replied.
"Black coffee and a basket of croissants," Jace says and the waiter nods and leaves, "They have some thick accents here, I don't even get half the things people say."
"Jace," I'm not interested in small talk, "What are you doing here?"
"Having coffee with you?"
"That's it," I get up, ready to leave.
"Hey I'm kidding what's wrong with you?" he reached out and grabbed my arm, I comply and sit back down.
"Whats wrong with me?" I can't believe him, "You randomly show up to Edinburgh and won't tell me why."
"You said to come get you remember?" he moved closer.
"I was kidding Jace," He can't be serious.
"Well I thought you could use a friend here what's the big deal?" What is the big deal? I don't want Jace here. I don't want to acknowledge the fact that maybe I need someone here for me- just me. Also, Jace is no longer a part of the band- wouldn't it be strange for him to be here?
"So you plan on touring with us?" I asked condescendingly.
"Well, no."
"So when are you leaving?"
