"Mia?" My eyelids flutter. "Mia, it's me."
I open my eyes and see Liv. A smile breaks out on my face and I hug her, nuzzling my face in her neck.
"Mia," she breathes.
I back away, remembering Mom is sitting right next to me. I look back at her and she's staring at me. She smiles, but her eyebrows are knitted together in confusion.
I take a deep breath. "Mom, this is Olivia. My girlfriend."
Olivia looks at me. We never officially made it... well, official, but it seemed fitting.
"Girlfriend? Mia, youre-?" Mom stops; she's choking back tears. Then she smiles. "I'm so happy for you." And I can tell she's sincere. I envelop her in a tight hug. She lets out an unintentional whimper, but hugs me back.
I am so happy to have my mom back.
