Chapter 10: A Blind Young Boy

Quote of the Day: "Don't count the days of Ramadan. Make them count."

A Blind Young Boy -

Who is a Hafidh of Qur'an -

Doesnt want his eyesight back.

Here's why...

Highlights Translated Below:

***

Blind Boy (1:04 - 1:40): Alhamdulillah, thanks to Allah who has taken away from me my eyesight, I thank Allah for this blessing. In my salah, I do not ask Allah to return my vision to me.

Man: You don't want Allah to return your eyesight to you?

Boy: Why? So perhaps, it can be a proof for me with Allah on the Day of Judgment, so He may lighten on me a portion of the punishment. And I will stand in front of Him, in fear and in reverence, when He will ask me "What did you do with the Qur'an?" So perhaps, He may make things easy for me, and Allah enters into His mercy whomever He wills...

Man (2:00): At this, I recalled the state of many Muslims who have the ability to see, who have been negligent in memorizing the Qur'an. Ya Allah... what will be there proof in front of Allah?

Boy (2:25): Ibn Al-Qayyim, may Allah have mercy on him, said, "Allah does not close a door to a slave out of His wisdom, except that He opens two others to him"

Man (2:51): The Prophet (S) said, "Allah said, 'If I deprive my slave of his two beloved things (i.e., his eyes) and he remains patient, I will let him enter Paradise in compensation for them"

Boy: We ask Allah to make us among the inheritors of Firdaws...

SubhanAllah.
