'Sonic how long are we gonna stay?' DSS said in piss off tone as sonic and shadow look ahead at an small but crowd of people at the park for the light show. The blue hedgehog groan to himself as he close his eyes and rub his head talking to DSS in his mind while the black and red gave an concern look at the hero that was right beside him.

'It be for an hour...so please be clam'

'Yeah yeah whatever! Just know I get to talk shit in the morning!'

Sonic just shake his head a bit as Darkspine left the blue one with the dark hedgehog for a bit. Shadow sigh as he place an hand on sonics shoulder making the blue hedgehog turn to him and smile.

"Are you feeling Ok hedgehog?" Shadow ask as the blue hedgehog nods his head. Sonic didn't want shadow to worry so much. All the blue hedgehog wanted to do was make the other hedgehog have an good time tonight.

Sonic smile as he and shadow started to walk into the park seeing family's, and couples walking around and laughing and chatting around the place. sonic took an look at shadow from the side of his eye to see that black hedgehog had an small smile on his face. Sonic never saw shadow smile often when they hang out or race, or even fight with they enemies. But this night the hedgehog beside him smiles, and it was making sonic purr softly to himself.

"HEY!!, IS THAT SONIC THE HEDEGHOG!!" one person yell making sonic quills jump up a bit. Everyone trun they head to sonic amd shadow way as they face turn bright while screaming in joy as some people run up around them and asking to take an pic with them. Most fans was into sonic, then you had some who was into shadow.

Shadow look at sonic as he gave an small smilw to him while taking pic with fans. All sonic could do was laugh to himself, but that change an bit when he felt an headache knowing that DSS was not happy.

'YO! It too much people! Lets move, lets GO!' DSS hiss making sonic grab his head an bit. Shadow look at sonic in worry as sonic took an deep breath as he put an smile on his face.

Even when sonic put on an fake smile, you can still see that he was in pain a little.

"Everyone we would love to stay and chat and also take pic, but--" sonic said as he grab shadow arm and started to walk away from they fans.
"But we have to continue our night, just stay in school!!" Sonic said as he took off around the corner with shadow by his side. If they couldn't walk around the part to see the lights, then they can sit on an hill that close by the park and maybe catch the fireworks tonight.

When shadow and sonic made it to an hill that had an big tree with lights that look like snow dripping from the tree they too and seat on the cool grass and look up into the sky an bit.

Sonic look to his left side to see shadow had his eyea close as he breath in the cold air, sighing it out as his tail wag an bit. Sonic couldn't help but smile as he felt an small blush form on his muzzle.

"So hedgehog, why have you decided to hang out with me tonight while I was working?" Shadow ask as sonic rub his quills an bit. He didn't wanted to tell him that he wanted to hang out with him to ask him out.....not just yet cause it an bit to early. So sonic had to come up with an save so it wouldn't sound to wired.

"Well.....you see I know that you work hard at rouge place so why not.....you know get some time and hang out?" Sonic said as the dark hedgehog beside him lower his ears and smile an bit.

'Wow...nice save....'

'Why thank yo--'

' Nice save of an damn lame excuse hedgehog.....that just sad...'

'DARK SPINE DO YOU MIND?'

'Oh yea sure I mind, as long as you can mind thezes NU-'

'Damn boi fine!, gezz just tell him the truth tho it won't bite too' DSS said as he voice disappear from sonic mind. Sonic look over to shadow then back at the sky thinking on what Spine told him. He sighed an bit as he look at the ground and close his eyes.

"Well......mostly I wanted to hang out with you because I want to know about you shadow the hedgehog." Sonic confessed as the dark hedgehog ears perk up an bit. Shadow look at sonic an bit to see that the bule hedeghog beside him hand his head down while his muzzle was red, blushing. Shadow was ki da confused a bit, didn't the blue blur know about him enough...?

"Wanna...get to know me know more?" Shadow ask in an confusing tone making sonic smile and trun his head to shadow. "Well yea....I don't know what it is about you....but when I'm around you.....for some reason....i just feel happy sparks go through out my body....and in a way...it feels like I'm completed when you around." Sonic said as he close his eyes while he trun his head away from shadow waiting for him to get up and walk away from him, but to his surprise shadow place his hand under sonic chin,making the blue hedeghog trun his head towards him.

They nose touch when sonic look at shadow while blushing know how close they was at each other at the moment. Shadow couldn't help but smile as he had an hint of an tent blush forming on his muzzle.

"You know faker....I could say that same about you too." Shadow said as sonic smile and wag his tail while they nose still touched.

At that moment sonic and shadow was going close and closer at each other till the point that they could feel they breathing on one another. They was about to lean into an kiss until an blue and black bird fly between making them snap out they trace while backing up an bit. The two hedgehog blushed hard as look away from each other and smile.

Sonic ear twitched as look up above the tree to see DSS came to view in his eyes.

' Im happy that y'all might get together......but the kissing part....oh he'll nah get an room!' DSS said make sonic shake his head and look back the dark hedgehog who was still blushing. Sonic smile as he reached over to shadow hand and grab it. Shadow smile amd he squeeze his hand with sonic, wagging his tail as the blue one purr.

Then all of an sudden the fireworks started to dance in the sky while the blue and black hedgehog cuddle watching the sky dance with the light In the sky.

Alright I have two things to say

One this is an gift for y'all and I'm so so soooo sorry for making y'all wait on this story....pls forgive me

And two I wanna say that hope y'all have an good Christmas, me idk how to say this but....since my past events with my other half family.... I dont like this time of year......i use to but....now since I'm older and saw what they done and treat me and my mother I cant like it. Around this time I get depressed.....but het who cares 😒..
