Chapter 29

Violet's POV

"Mommy" I heard Mery say as Dest picked her up. Then there was a huge explosion

" Violet! Get Mercery out of here!" Dest yelled as Mery ran to me. I picked her up and ran to the safe room. Everyone has a specific one they go to. Ours is more secured so no one can get in. Connor and Hazel stayed back while I stayed with Mery. She was shaking...hell I was too. But something didn't make sense to me that I'm trying to think of. Before I ran I saw someone I didn't think I would see.... It was Chantel. Did she cause the explosion. Could she have done something to Avery to make her die. We haven't seen her in years. Where the hell has she been?

The door safe open up and I saw it was Dest. She closed it. She looked like she saw a ghost

" Dest. What happened?" Mery turned around and saw her mom. She ran to her and Dest hugged her. But she was crying

" Come here" she said and she sat down with me. Dest brought Mery on her lap

" Chantel.....she....I don't know it was like she was under a spell or something. It was not like her to do anything she did....."

" What did she do?" I asked. She couldn't look at me

" Destiney" she looked at me

" What. Did she do"

" She....killed if not everyone at least most of our people. She killed Connor.... Hazel...our parents.... I don't even know if Xavier and Hunter got out. She killed our family" she started sobbing. Me on the other hand. I was just tearing up. I couldn't let all of my emotions go right now cause bad things would happen

" But something didnt seem right" Dest said once she composed herself

" I sense Blaze there. I don't know how but this could of been all of his doing-"

" And he sent Chantel to do it for him. To make it seem like she betrayed us and we would go after her"

"I know if I was a evil Mastermind that's something I would do. But why"

" Well that's something we have to find out when we get out of here"

" I'd say we should stay in here for the night. I don't know if anyone is still here that wants to kill us. Quite frankly I don't want to go up there right now anyways"

" That's fine"

*Few hours later*

Mercery was asleep. Me and Dest are wide awake. I mean what do you expect. We lost our parents, brother, best friend, pack and even family friend depending on if we're right about our theory

" It's so many questions.... Running through my mind. Who would do something like this? How did they find Inviz? What was their purpose?"

" It's hard to believe that their dead. Mom. Dad. Connor. Hazel. I don't think Hunter or Xavier are dead cause we would have felt them die"

"I know. Get some sleep. We got alot to do in the morning"
