The Local Youth

I worry about the local youth,
During the day they slack off on
    classwork
Sleeping and other obnoxious events fill
    their brains like bubbling tar.
I worry about the local youth,
While driving back home from that
  well-
     renowned party,
their brains hazy from stolen sips of
     parents wine cellars,
Their car crashes into the lake,
      headline news,
   tragic remembrance.
Yes,
I worry about the local youth,
I sincerely hope that they learn how
       fragile life really is
