18. Numb

  Some days,
I feel just
so numb inside,
this case of
human glass,
no sadness floods
these empty tears,
no joy leaps
from my laugh.

  Some days,
I feel just
so numb inside,
that kissing
her feels empty,
those butterflies
in my stomach,
they've spread
their wings,
and left me alone.

  Some days,
I feel just
so numb inside,
I'll grip round
barbed wire fences,
I'll squeeze until
my blood drips
like a waterfall,
just to see
if I still have
all of my senses.

  "Some days,
I feel just
so numb inside"

  That statement
helps me heal,
for if I feel to
numb inside
then part of me
still feels.
