"Clink..! Clink..!"

Achingly sweet clinking of glass together sliding into a pair of delicate wrist. Her red painted lips stretching into a beautiful smile in satisfaction when she jiggled her hands adorned with deep beautiful color of heena, producing a beautiful sound from her red bangles.

"Abeer!"

"Abeer! Aren't you ready yet? What took you so long? "

"Baarat already is on the way. Hurry up!"

"Aamra aapi I'm done!"

Abeer answered rolling her eyes before standing up from dressing table presenting her gorgeous full frame clad in lime lehenga with heavy red dupatta to Aamra who is looking in a haste and panic.

"Samra ko taiyyar karane k chakkar me mujhe der ho gai." She excused while smoothing her already tight hair bun; not a single baby hair sticking out.
(I got late because I was helping Samra to get ready.)

"Okay fine! Now come." Aamra nodded and instantly gestured her to follow.

"Is Baba here?" Abeer asked while walking beside her sister.

"No actually the men of the clan are coming along with Barat."Aamra answered and Abeer frowned.

"Why didn't I know about it and by the way don't Ahmer Bhai has his paternal side relatives and cousins to bring with him that he needed the men from our family?" Abeer asked innocently only to be smacked again lightly by her sister.

"That's because both phuphu are our relative equally and its necessary for us to be on both side. So it was decided that men will come with Baraat while we ladies will be here from bride side." Aamra explained and Abeer mouth formed into an "Oh" in understanding.

And then she inwardly sighed thankfully because she won't be seeing Omer until Barat. It was getting difficult for her to handle herself around him and most probably the tactics he was using since haldi started raising doubts among relatives. And after the confrontation with Aamra on the day of haldi about Omer she is trying her best to avoid him as much as she can to Omer's displeasure. Unfortunately, it is just infuriating Omer and provoking him to be around Abeer even more.

"Mamma barat kabtak aaegi?" Alaya whined; her head resting on her mother's shoulder lazily while Abeer who was resting her head on other side and others rolled their eyes.
(When will barat arive?)

"Your father said they are almost on the way." Her mother replied checking her wrist watch.

Men and women of the family are standing there on the gate waiting for Barat; to welcome them. Its been already an hour when Sitara Rehmaan received the call from her husband informing them that they are on the way and now they are waiting here for fifteen minutes now.

Humayun Kothi is glimmering well in the night, beautiful lights are changing colors and the flowers dangling beautifully like a curtain giving the vintage kothi a royal look. Safiya is married to Leautinent Governor Rashid Humayun and this is their ancestral kothi in Dehradun. The Kothi is so huge that it can easily accommodate 100 families altogether and the size of the front yard; well it could be a Mughal garden easily itself.

"Look! Barat aagai!" (Barat has arrived) Abeer shot her head up from her mother's shoulder excitedly when she saw fireworks in the sky. Everyone exchanged joyous smile feeling anticipated, waiting for Baratis to walk inside with the groom.

All the elderly women and men of the house along with bride's parents stood straight with garlands in their hands to welcome baratis; helps beside them with a platter full of delicious sweets and garlands.
