new power discovered?

So while reading a comic I liked, it was about magic and the section I was on taught the soldiers on how to use it, I decided to do what the leader told just for fun, the steps were to heat up your hands to start, I did that, and it worked a bit!
I don't remember this as a power I wanted as an mg, so maybe its something new/ old but I just discovered it now? Either way, while I'm trying to become an mg ill try to train it. So far I'm guessing it's pyrokenesis so I'm listening to those kinda sub's and will probably study on how to actually practice.
