Walking home from a friends house I whisper under my breath,

'why did I wait to leave so late...'

I was about two miles from home when I had left and it was around seven PM with the sun just beginning to set. I took out my phone and turned on casual music and put in my earphones to enjoy the walk. I walked into an alleyway not thinking to much of it. That path was just a way to take some time off the walk home. After walking for another thirty minutes I could see my apartment door in the distance. I stopped to open my phone and change the song. That's when I realized I had multiple missed calls. I opened my phone up and went to try and call her back.

'No answer, that's so typical. She won't answer my calls now. I guess it's back to us not talking...'

I try to pull that thought away by resuming my music and walking down the dark street. For some reason the road has not gotten lights installed yet. Unable to hear over my music I get grabbed from behind and my mouth covered. I only have time to think about how close I came to being home safe. Before I knew it I had passed out.
