"I can't believe Benjy's married now

"I can't believe Benjy's married now." Lois said to Aurora. Just yesterday they had been at his wedding, and now Aurora was shopping with her mother and two sisters for a wedding ring for Remus, well, they already had it, now they were just shopping.

"I can't believe you're married," She snorted. "And I can't believe I'm getting married." They walked a few paces behind their mum and Rosie, watching how she clung to their Mum's hand, looking around at every shop that displayed sweets.

Lois smiled down at the ground, but looked back up again to nudge their shoulders together. "How's that coming along?"

"I'm incredibly nervous." She admitted, worrying her lip between her teeth. "I like him--so much--and I know he feels the same way, but this is unlike any kind of relationship I've had, and there's not much to go off." She laughed a little at the end, remembering the only two real relationships she had before.

"You're unlike any kind of relationship he's had before." Lois inputted. "I mean, he had a crush on you in school for so long, and the whole...," She flailed her hands, trying to find a way to phrase her thoughts. "furry problem."

Aurora stopped walking, pulling Lois back by her wrist, startling her. "Wait, what?" She said, her voice getting higher.

"What?" Lois asked, not understanding what she said that had shocked her sister.

"You just said he used to have a crush on me in Hogwarts." Aurora found that she was unable to keep a smile off of her face at the thought of it.

Lois' face was taken over with panic, her eyes widening, as her brain caught up with the words she had accidentally let slip. "I thought he told you." The words were said slowly, like Lois was trying to be cautious of what she was saying.

Aurora shook her head lightly, smile refusing to budge. "He must have forgotten to mention it." She didn't push her twin on the subject, choosing to let them fall into a comfortable silence. They continued walking, a little bit faster this time, to catch up with their mother and sister.

For the rest of the day the thought was pushed out of her mind as she focused on finding a gift for her father's birthday--this task was not to be mistaken for being easy, as he wouldn't have anything that he specifically wanted, leading to many trips inside of many shops.

When she came back to the Potter residence hours later, she was alone. Lois was planning to tell their parents of her pregnancy over dinner tonight, explaining why Sirius was was a nervous wreck, running past her when she stepped out of the fireplace, only pausing before using the floo powder to smoothen his clothes and run a hand through his hair.

Aurora stared at the spot in the fireplace where Sirius had just stood, brows furrowed. "I..." She started to say, but dismissed it as she turned to James who looked much too relieved to see his best friend leave. "Where's Remus?" She chose to ask, remembering what Lois had revealed to her earlier.

"He's up in his room." James replied, tilting his head towards the stairs. Aurora shot a smile of thanks towards him and went up said stairs to go and find him. Her knock on his door was quickly answered with a soft response of 'it's open', leading her to open the door slightly and slip through, closing it behind her. She was greeted with the sight of Remus sat on his bed, leaning back against the headboard with a book in his hands.

"Hi." She grinned as she moved to sit sit beside him, head resting on his shoulder, eyes looking at the book he was holding, Jane Eyre.

Remus placed a bookmark in between the pages, setting the book down as he turned his gaze down to her. "Hello." He leaned forward to place a kiss on top of her head. "You okay?" He received a small nod to confirm that she was.

"Lois told me something interesting earlier." She said as he moved his arm to rest over her shoulders.

"What was it?"

Aurora looked up, a cheeky grin on her face. "She may have let it slip that a certain someone had a crush on me during our school years." She watched in amusement as his face started to flush red, spreading across his cheeks and the back of his neck.

"She didn't." He groaned.

"She very much did. It was accidental though, so don't entirely blame her; she thought I knew." It was cute to watch Remus try and hide his face from her, pulling his hands up to cover his face and bringing up his knees to rest his elbows. Aurora moved from beside him to sit in front of him, choosing to cross her legs. "And because I now know this, I thought I might tell you something," She gently brought his hands away from his face, holding them in hers. "I had a crush on you in school as well." She said, not breaking eye contact with him.

Remus' face was taken over with a look of confusion. "It's true." Aurora assured him. "I liked you all through second year, and third, and fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh."

"I thought you didn't like me at all after fifth year."

Aurora bit her lip nervously, looking down at their hands. "I wasn't your biggest fan then, no." She agreed. "But no matter how hard I would try and convince myself otherwise, my heart would beat faster whenever you were near, or my stomach would erupt into butterflies."

A smile had broken out on Remus' face, the previous confusion gone. Carefully he removed one of his hands from hers, resting it under her chin to tilt it up ever so slightly, for her lips to meet his as he leaned down to kiss her.

Much like the other times they had kissed, Aurora felt the rush of euphoria that came with it. Her hands moved to the back of his neck, one creeping up into the base of his hair, gently pulling him closer to her. A small groan from him was all the encouragement she needed to run her tongue against his lower lip, asking to be let in. Once permission was granted, she slid her tongue against his, Remus drinking in the whimpers that she was unable to hold back.

Without disconnecting their mouths, she moved to straddle him, her knees on either side of his thighs. His hands moved slowly down her back, pulling her to him trying to close the non existent distance between them. "Re..." Aurora panted, lifting her arms slightly so he would understand what she was asking. His hands only had to move a few inches before he reached the bottom of her jumper, tugging it up, along with the t-shirt underneath.

Once it was off, Aurora moved quickly to join their lips again, but didn't keep them there for very long. She trailed her lips along the side of his jaw, sucking gently at the skin. Her hands moved to copy his actions, going to pull up the bottom of the jumper he was wearing, but was stopped by his hands covering hers.

"Are you alright?" She asked, pulling back.

"I'm just..." Remus trailed off, casting his eyes down to where he was fiddling with his hands.

Aurora moved her hands so one ran through his hair, hoping to bring him some sense of comfort, and the other to rest on his cheek. "It's okay." She said, moving off of him, bringing them to a silence. "Do you want me to make some tea?"

Remus smiled softly at her and squeezed her hand lightly. "Thank you." He said, and she could tell he was thanking her for more than the tea.
