I'm writing this for @belladonnahendrix on insta<3 I just did this quickly so I hope it isn't crappy. Hope this helps you fall asleep Bella and everyone else!!

You're in the common room after dinner reading a book in the corner beside the fire that's warming up the environment. at that moment you spot a certain green eyed boy walking down the stairs holding a cloak and a piece of parchment.

he walked to the exit of the common room, looking around as if he doesn't want anyone to see were he's going. right when he was about to swing open the portrait hole, he put on his cloak and disappeared. You got suspicious so you decided to go follow him. Of course it's hard because you can't see where he is going, but knowing  Harry too well you knew he's going to the astronomy tower.

You sneak behind him listening to his footsteps intently. you see him pushing the door open and going up the stairs, so you do the same, following behind him quietly. then, harry revealed himself by taking off the cloak, after that he setting the piece of parchment down. When he looked around again and saw no one he takes something out of his pocket, puts it in his mouth, and uses a shiny silver object to light fire. it was difficult to see as it was late at night, but after your eyes got used to the darkness you saw that it was a cigarette, though you're not really surprised because you know Harry and also know that he smokes sometimes, his favourite place to do so being the Astronomy tower.

He looks at the map once again to make sure no one is coming, but his eyes widened when he saw your name. He looked around trying to see where you were hiding and eventually saw you standing at the stairs. You give him a small smile while blushing, glad he couldn't see the colour rushing into your cheeks. In return Harry asks "what are you doing here?"

walking towards him to where he was standing, just stoping beside him admiring the view you started answering honestly "I saw you slip away so I-."

harry cut you off. "followed me?" he said, a slight smile on his face. the smoke coming out of his mouth and nose, engulfing him, made him look ethereal. being so close to him you were able to get a good look of him, his pale skin, pink lips, and sparkling dark green eyes. while checking him out harry noticed you watching him. your eyes met his, realising you were staring, you felt your cheeks warm up and look away.

You turn to each other, your eyes on his cigarette. He motions for you to to sit down, so you do, your back to the wall, while Harry sits between your legs. He pulls your knees up to rest his arms on, his head on your shoulder. You take hold of his cigarette, confusion evident on Harry's face, but still opening his mouth for you to take it. You put it in your mouth and suck slightly, feeling the familiar taste again. The smoke coming out of your mouth forming patterns, looking like clouds, then disappearing in thin air. You, still holding it, motion for Harry to open his mouth. He obeyed and you put the cigarette in his mouth again.

You two sit in silence feeling each other's heartbeats and hearing each other's breaths. It was dark, so the stars were illuminating the space.

You could feel that something was bothering harry so you decided to ask "is there something you want to talk about?" He turns his head and looks at you, defeated. "How do you always know everything I'm feeling? Or even when it's just about me?"

You chuckle lightly. Truth was, you did know everything about him. All since the beginning. There was something. A connection between you two. "I don't know. Maybe I just know you very well."

"Perhaps you do."

"Yeah, perhaps I do."

Silence falls again, But not an awkward silence, it's a comfortable silence where the two of you let your minds wonder each other. Wonder the feelings you have for each other. It's always been complicated, your feelings. But deep down you both knew what you wanted, what you felt, what you needed. And that's each other. You needed each other, and Harry was done with keeping it secret. He wanted you to know. But he just couldn't. He was scared and you understand that. So you just let him take his time. Even though you both are in need of each other.

Little did they know the next day their feelings were going to be put out in the world. To each other.

"Y/n, I need you"

"I need you too, harry"

"Promise to love me forever?"

"I promise."
