"Hi," she whispered poking his back. His back was to her, as he completed another assignment due the next day. He'd been working for three hours and was getting more and more weary about every word he wrote. He found his hands typing out requests for food instead of somewhat intelligent and legible answers. Oddly enough, he wasn't even hungry. Nowadays, he couldn't bring himself to eat on schedule and often found himself waking up in the middle of the night to eat. The food wasn't usually healthy either; mostly comfort food.... well, in more blunt terms, junk food and tons of it.

His sleep schedule was completely off too and most nights he barely caught a wink of sleep and slept during the day unintentionally. This often resulted in sleeping in the weirdest positions and places. He even found himself sleeping in his car in the middle of traffic on some nights which often resulted in a line of people honking at him that immediately woke him. And when he did manage to sleep, his dreams were plagued with her. Anne was everywhere. The happiest of dreams with her turned into nightmares most of the time with her blaming him.

His His ears perked up and happy tears flooded even before he saw her. He knew her voice from the billions of conversations they had and how many times he's longed to hear it which led to watching some home videos. He turned slowly in his chair to meet her blue eyes and hesitant smile. His jaw dropped and it took him a couple of minutes just to even utter a syllable.

"Are you real?" he breathlessly uttered. It was a quiet question and she barely heard it.

"Of course," she answered with a smile. He looked into her eyes again to see if any dishonesty was seeping. She was always so easy to read and her orbs were the simplest way to read her. They twitched when she was annoyed and turned a lighter colour when she was happy. They turned dark when she was lying or mad. Seeing no tells that she was lying, he didn't hesitate to do what he longed to do for so long.

His mind didn't even question why her eyes were blue instead of the hazel-green colour that he'd fallen in love with. Instead, he stood up, threw his arms around her and pulled her into a warm embrace. His relieved and happy tears leaked from his eyes. He took a deep breath, just to smell the lavender fragrance she always smelled like. He looked like a giant compared to her short, frail body. His hands ran through her straight hair and he had to squeeze his arms together just to convince himself she was real and secretly, so that she wouldn't leave again.

He pulled back from the embrace just to get caught in her eyes. His breath hitched and he couldn't stop himself. He leaned in without a second thought. He needed to do this. After being apart for so long and seeing how things can change so easily, he needed to do this again. His lips just brushed against her lips when he found his arms being around just... air.

His eyes widened as he turned his head to only find she was on the other side of the room. Her eyes were no longer friendly and were replaced with an almost black shade of brown; she was mad.

"This is your fault!" she yelled at him.

"I know," he replied. He still hadn't gotten the will and strength to forgive himself. It was uncontrollable, yet he couldn't see anyone else who should be cursed and plagued with the pain.

"THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT!" she repeated much louder.

His tears streamed stronger. It's my fault. Even she thinks it.

"I'm sorry," he pleaded.

"SORRY'S NOT ENOUGH! I'M FUCKING DEAD!" she yelled back, not even thinking twice about forgiving him.

"I didn't mean to!" he pleaded. He cried harder as sobs wracked his body harder.

"SO WHAT? I'M DEAD! I'M STILL DEAD!" she screamed at him. With that, she grabbed his collar and literally threw him out the window. He flew through the glass and broke the entire window. He felt the air pass by him as he plummeted to the ground. He didn't scream though. He'd already convinced himself that he didn't deserve that freedom to even express how afraid he was to reach the ground. He closed his eyes and with that, he felt his back hit the floor with a loud thump.
