I have a theory that a lot of the songs are about Paul Klein. Remember in summer 2016 he posted this picture and then deleted it. And then there was a paparazzi picture of them driving around in his white mustang a few weeks later. When LANY released their debut album there was speculation that some songs were about her but it didn't go very far. ILYSB talks about "driving around town holding hands" (the paparazzi picture and getaway car, white mustang!?) and "slow dancing these summer nights" (they were together during the summer) and also "our disco ball is my kitchen light" she posted on her story during that time a disco ball?!? A lot of the songs on the album talk about this girl not giving him affection or lying and fighting with him but I think that's bull and he was asking her for things he knew she couldn't give him (salt in the wound) and white mustang is all about their summer romance and how he couldn't change his ways. I think he's a lying, gaslighting, needy little bleep if you ask me. There's way more to this theory but I'll make a separate post.
