CHAPTER 4

"Shit, my head hurts so bad" I heard Jane say beside me.

I stood up to check the time.

"Oh shit, I'm late" I've got an interview by 8:25am and it's just 8:05am.

I ran to the bathroom. Took a quick shower and Jane already laid down an outfit for me.

One of the reasons I love her so much.

I arrived at the company late. Judging by the fact that I didn't have a car, I had to take a public bus and trust me, you don't wanna ever be in such traffic on a day like this.

Entering the building, I noticed the time is already 8:45am. Gosh.. I'm late.

I made my way to the secretary post.

"Good morning Ma'am. I'm Logan Smith and I'm here for an interview.

She gave me a stern look and suddenly change into a flirting look.

" First off, you are late and secondly, how can someone look so fucking cute and hot at the same time?"

"Remember me? She asked.

"Huh?! No, I don't". I said while trying to hide my blushing face.

"I'm sorry for being late ma'am" I said.

"It's alright. Head to the 10th floor. By your right, you'll notice a black door with some silver lining to it. That's where you are gonna be attended to".

"Thanks a lot ma'am" I said.

"You are welcome and the name is Becky, no need to be formal".

"Becky?

I thought to myself. I turned to leave but decide to take another look at the secretary.

Just then, my eyes went big and realization hit me. Shit... It's the girl from the club.

She gave me a flirtious look and I turned to look away.

Gosh.. This is another drama. She just won't give up. Urrgh.

I head to the 10th floor, getting there, I took a deep breath and knock on the door that says CEO. I heard a faint "come in" and I went it.

I was mesmerized by the beauty in front of me.

She's got everything a lady could ever wish for.
A clear skin like that of a new baby, a deep brown coloured eyes that seems to stare deep into your soul and her hair, so black that you'll barely see through it.

And when she stood up, I was wowed. I feel in love with the shape of hers. She's just to perfect.

"I'm never gonna get a chance. She's too expensive for me" I thought to myself. I immediately snapped out of my trance.

Just then, A guy which I assumed to be in his early 40s came in and introduced me to the CEO as the new Marketing manager of the company.

The CEO which name I saw on the tag as Liliana looked at me from head to toe and the first word she uttered to me made me shiver.

"You are late" She said to me.

I tried to apologize but all I did was shutter.

"I'm sorry ma'am. I got caught up in traffic".

"That is not an excuse Ms Logan and I won't tolerate you coming late next time".

"Yes ma'am. I promise to keep up with time".

"You better" She said.

"So Logan, let's get you settled down. By the way, you can call me James. I'm Ana's best friend, also her assistant". The guy in his early 40s said.

We head to a not-to-small room and he introduced it as my office. Atleast I get to have my personal space.. That's cool.

The room was painted white with some tint of deep blue at each corners of the wall. A well stuffed table was sitting close to the little window and an office chair.

"So, settle down and get use to the surrounding. I'll be bringing some files to you so we can discuss more on the things you should know" James said.

"Okay. Thank you" I said to him as he turned to leave.

"By the way, don't think much of Ana's attitude towards you. She's like that most times" He said.

"It's fine. Thanks again". I said to him.

"You are welcome" He said and left the office.

I sat down on the chair and took a deep breath. Wheew... It's not gonna be easy but I hope it will be.
