The gala was upon them and everyone was getting ready

Hermione and Ginny had kicked out every man from the cottage and began getting ready

Hermione was stepping out of the shower with a towel wrapped around her body when she heard the Floo roaring to life

"Draco! Get out—oh hello Narcissa" Hermione yelped

Narcissa stood with a smile by the fireplace

"I do hope I'm not interrupting, I was just coming to say that you will need to give a speech, it can be short but you will need to make a speech"

Hermione sighed and rubbed her abdomen

"Very well" she said, she kissed Narcissa's cheek and was about to walk away when Narcissa called for her

"Yes?"

"I have something for you" Narcissa smiled "it was mine before I got married to Lucius, the Malfoy's have a tradition in giving the soon-to-be bride of their son a trinket from before they had gotten married, a form of tethering their bloodlines in beyond marriage and heirs" Narcissa explained

She pulled out a navy blue velvet box and extended it to her

Hermione opened it and gasped

It was a Dark Blue teardrop necklace set with matching earrings and a diamond bracelet that were shaped as teardrops

It all glistened under the daylight, it painted the living room with blue

It looked like if she was under water when the sun

She traced her fingers over the diamonds

"Oh Narcissa...I-I-I can't" she whispered

Narcissa took hold of Hermione's wrists

"I insist" Narcissa whispered "you have done more for this family than anyone could ever imagine, you broke every prejudice the Malfoy's had, you have taught my son how to love...you have given me two wonderful grandchildren, this is from me Hermione, there is no one better to be my sons wife and the mother of his children"

Hermione wiped her eyes and sniffed

"It's beautiful...thank you Narcissa"

Narcissa smiled and cupped her cheeks

"I will see you in a few hours" she said before stepping through the green flames once again

Hermione walked back to the bedroom

"Alright, I'll start with your hair while you do your makeup and then I'll take a quick shower but first I have to pee, this baby is going to be the death of me" Ginny muttered as she walked into the bathroom again

Hermione put on her robe and sat at the dressing table, she put on her face cream and massaged it into the skin

Ginny walked back out and took the hairbrush, she began brushing Hermione's wet hair while adding lotion into it

"We'll keep your hair in their natural curls, I know how much it drives Malfoy wild" Ginny smirked

"You are way to horny, go get some from your husband" Hermione said as she rolled her eyes

"Why would I settle for the boy-who-lived? When my best friend is dating the hottest man possibly alive?" Ginny countered

Hermione laughed loudly

"You're incorrigible"

"Come on, let's get your pregnant arse into the dress"
