5 YEARS LATER

Shit! I was so late! Lia was going to be so pissed at me! I had just finished my interview with my company to get a higher promotion which I hoped I would get, which hopefully I will. So much had happened since that day in court, the day in which my life changed for the better.

My brothers always fought against it every six months thought, until I turned 18, in which they could do nothing to me anymore, I mean they tried every now and again to get me fired from my job, or to set me up with a guy who was fake, but soon enough, I was working for a company even bigger than theirs, but I still ran background checks onto everyone I met.

In that time I stayed with Lia and her wife Lola, who was a redhead just like me!. She was so sweet and so excited when she first met, giving me a ton of clothes and going out to get my hair done with me, which I had never done before. They were both the mothers I never had.

I was running through the streets to get to the cathedral as soon as possible.

Cathedral? You ask. Well I'll have you know I met someone. Someone pretty amazing! We met in the university Library, nerdy I know, but ever since I got into my dream uni, I have loved every second of it. I did have to share with a few roommates in the dorms but we were all friends in the end and now we go out every friday for a drink and tell eachother whats been going on in eachother's lives.

Anyway, I was just strolling through the English section, looking for another great book to read, when he accidently bumped right into me, cursing as he did. He apologised over and over again but as soon as we both looked at eachother the words just disappeared. I don't know how long we were staring at eachother but it was without a doubt a long time.

He had wonderful brown hair, he was quite tall but not lanky at the same time. He was broad but he looked like he worked out, just not too much. He has these amazing hazel eyes, which were the things that really caught my attention.

His name is Nathan by the way.

It was so easy after that, I just felt so comfortable with him all the time. We went out for dinner, went to the beach together, went to the woods, we even managed to dance in the rain. It was truly magically. We dated for three years or so before he finally proposed.

Lia and Lola practically interrigated him when he first came over and he was sweating bullets, but in the end they thought he was amazing and totally worth the fuss! Anyway, he had taken me to New York for the weekend for new years eve, in which at midnight he gave me a long kiss and got down on one knee.

I remember the excitement and the shock now, as I ran through the streets with a huge grin on my face. I remember screaming yes over and over again as he pulled me into his arms, spinning me around. We decided to postpone the wedding for a few months though, as we had both just been getting to our dream jobs and uni was still a small factor.

Lia and Lola were over the moon, and Granny was so happy for me! Her daughter had a baby girl in the end, we all went to see her in the hospital. I remember seeing the little bundle, all wrapped up, with everyone smiling and cooeing at her. When I got closer I saw the name tag and ended up crying my eyes at, hugging Granny so hard.

"Tilly".

I cry at the thought now, I always managed to get Tilly a gift for her birthday, she was nearly 4 now, and I'll tell you, that little girl has some sass. Just like her Mum I guess.

Ughh, sorry I nearly got ran over by  stupid taxi. I was only a few minutes late and I had plenty of time to get my dress on.

Anyway, it took me one second to look at Tilly to know I wanted lots of children, in the end Lia and Lola adopted three kids, two boys, one who was 14 , Mickey, and his brother who was 9, Brian, and a little 5 year old girl, Heather, who was the most adorable thing in the entire world! She was also super smart and pretty quiet at first, but when she got to know us, she now doesn't shut up!
