The sound of my two brothers Andrew and Matt whining filled my ears as I slept as well as the sound of rain hitting the top of the roof, drip drip drip and tap tap tap.

"Marianne! Don't make me tell you again! Get your butt out of bed young lady!" Mother growled. I shot out of bed, dressing my shameful, old black and white maid uniform. Running down the stairs, Andrew and Matt were playing checkers by the time I was down the stairs.

"Marianne, I'm really hungry..." Matt whined. I walked to the kitchen, making the boys and Mom an omelette.

I threw three omelettes onto three plates. "Breakfast is ready!" I yelled. No one came to the table until 20 minutes later when the food was cold. "Marianne, the food I ate is cold and I hate cheese." Matt said as he threw his omelette onto the garbage. Andrew did the same, Mother threw hers on the ground, making it look like a dog tearing up the sofa.

I grabbed the broom and wiped up the omelette mess, throwing it into the garbage. I did the dishes and that was it for the kitchen.
