It's been a month since Ronnie was in the dreaded hospital that smelt of sickness and death, a building she never wanted to step foot in ever again unless it was for giving birth or if she happened to volunteer, but for now . . . she was over hospitals. Now, she was trying to figure out of the time away from school would cause a setback in her being Valedictorian; she knew that there was a chance she would also be Salutatorian, but she worked too long and hard to be placed second to someone else. She knows she made a mistake with skipping school, but she was dealing with something intense that she wasn't allowed to tell anyone about. But it wouldn't fly for that exact same reason.
